Travel and Accommodations

NSF-funded conferees will in all likelihood be reaching us by airplane. If so, make your flight reservations now and save your receipts.

We are expecting you on Sunday, July 5, 2009; you will be departing on Friday, July 10, 2009. When you arrive at Willard Airport in Champaign, take a taxi to the Illini Union on Green Street, where you will be staying. Rooms have been reserved in your names. Breakfasts at the Union are available and are part of the package. The Union is on campus. You are on your own for supper; restaurants are readily available. Lunches will be served at the Institute for Genomic Biology where all conference sessions will be held. The Union is within walking distance of the IGB.

Getting to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

You will need to make your own arrangements to get to Champaign–Urbana. The University is accessible by air, train, or road. Detailed directions are given here

The University is served by Willard Airport (CMI).

Meals

Breakfast is included in the Illini Union package. Lunch will be provided daily during the day's event schedule. Dinner is on your own (except for a banquet on Thursday night).

The Illini Union is conveniently located near a number of campus dining establishments.
